Autumn 2008, Benington, Hertfordshire. As I was walking around Benington today I came across a little piece of history. This is an ARP warden's badge, it stands for Air Raid Patrol, handed out during World War II I believe, to those civilians that helped out with the war effort.
Summer 2008, Watton-at-Stone, Hertfordshire. I was wondering around the garden with my camera when I happened across this leaf with some sawfly larvae on it! These guys are fun to watch, they throw their tails in the air as a defence mechanism.
Summer 2008, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. The wife and I took the day off work to go walking at Cedar Park. I took the opportunity to play with different shutter speeds. This is the first ever picture I took with my new Canon 450D.
Summer 2008, Watton-at-Stone, Hertfordshire. I happened across this lock as I was on one of my walks, the partial rust made for an awesome texture! This was my first venture into High Dynamic Range imaging!
Summer 2008, Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Stacey Andrews is a model/photographer who offered to help do some portrait shots. Although I have photographed lots of people in the past, she is the first person I've shot with my new digital camera. Stacey Andrews
Summer 2008, Enfield, Middlesex. I went to a party at the house of a family member. I saw this perfect Pansy just begging me to take a picture of it, so I did exactly that!
Summer 2008, Ware, Hertfordshire. I was invited by a family member to join a photoshoot at a studio in Ware. There were four girls (all friends) that wanted some pictures before they go off to university etc. This is a portrait shot of Kiri which came from the session.
Summer 2008, Stevenage, Hertfordshire. I asked a friend if she would mind me taking some pictures of her. Her immediate reaction was "Sure Andy, love too, but I'm keeping my clothes on!". She was a good sport, I hope she liked the end result. Thanks Jackie!
Summer 2008, Watton-at-Stone, Hertfordshire. I took this shot whilst I was out walking in Watton-at-Stone. Evening was gaining on me and the pond was still, I was over the moon with the result.
